Artist Statement:
Tracey Emin has long been a source of inspiration for my work as she too walks the line between trauma and pleasure. I follow her hand in the use of childlike imperfection. These designed and manufactured flaws serve as an important exploration for my art, and specifically for my book. Emin's art has given me the power to utilize my femininity and personal experiences in the pursuit of portraying the more universal aspects of childhood and womanhood.
